Tom Matchak is the owner of Tom Matchak Cycles. He lives in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, where he settled following a life changing transcontinental bicycle tour. For three decades prior to his escape, he pursued a career as a chemical engineer, designing advanced energy conversion processes. Along the way, Tom learned bicycle design, and acquired the fabricator’s skills needed to build classic steel frames. For more than 12 years, Tom has been building lovely bespoke frames/forks/racks and creating one-off components to fulfill special needs. The TMAT-series switch reflects a design aesthetic, shared with Anton, which values robust functionality, elegant simplicity, and a pleasing user interaction.
Tom posts photos of his projects on flickr, and discusses frame design, fabrication and related stuff on his blog, and will occassionally post here on Electricalites A.T. as well. You can contact him using the form below.
